PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD BRING IN ANY CLEAN AND CLEAR 2 LITER SODA BOTTLES TO SCHOOL. WE WILL NEED THEM TO CREATE OUR ECOCOLUMNS THIS FALL!
In order to bring science to life, our students build their own ecosystems. They use soda bottles to construct a terrarium and aquarium connected in ont ecocolumn. We inhabit our columns with crickets, pillbugs, snails, elodea, mosquito fish, alfalfa, and mustard seed. We watch as the organisms interact with their environment daily. Sometimes we even get to bring our ecocolumns home!

Mixtures & Solutions
This kit allows us to combine and separate mixtures and solutions. We learn how different materials interact and combine to form new substances. We make chalk, watch materials expand and explode, and even get to taste new mixtures! Mixtures and Solutions is an amazing kit!
Motion & Design
Motion and Design is a kit which focuses on the principles of force and gravity. Students create their own vehicle designs throughout the kit. They also follow a sketch to build a model vehicle. This vehicle is tested to see how much weight it can carry, how far it can travel, and how durable and sturdy it is.
Students learn various new vocabulary words such as, force, kinetic energy, potential energy, and mass. Ask your student to explain each new term to you! They have been extremely fascinated by this experience!
